Franc Čuš

Življenjepis: Rojen 1972. Diplomiral leta 1999 na študiju Agronomije in leta 2001 na študiju Živilske tehnologije, BF-UL. Doktoriral leta 2005 na IPŠ Biotehnologija. 2000-2005 zaposlen kot asistent stažist na BF-UL. Od leta 2006 kot raziskovalec na Kmetijskem inštitutu Slovenije. 2012 predstojnik Centralnega laboratorija in od leta 2013 predstojnik Oddelka za sadjarstvo, vinogradništvo in vinarstvo. Pedagoško delo: 2000-2005 asistent BF-UL, 2006-2011 docent na VŠVV-UNG; 2007-2015 docent in izredni profesor na FVZ-UP. Raziskovalno delo: vpliv FFS na populacijo kvasovk med alkoholno fermentacijo; ostanki FFS na grozdju in vinu; vpliv naravno prisotnega mikrobioma na kakovost vina. Bibliografija: COBISS izpis obsega 213 enot, od tega 24 izvirnih znanstvenih člankov, 3 vabljena predavanja, več uredništev znanstvenih monografij. Je oz. je bil član uredniškega odbora dveh znanstvenih revij. Bil je mentor ali somentor 3 doktorandom, 2 magistrantom in 4 diplomantom. Druge zadolžitve: vodja Javne službe za vinogradništvo KIS-MKGP, predsednik sveta za vinogradništvo pri MKGP, odgovorni sodelavec na podatkovni bazi za izotopska razmerja za slovenska vina, član strokovnih komisij pri OIV, predsednik SDVVS (2006-2010), predsednik programsko-organizacijskega odbora več znanstvenih posvetov, senzorični ocenjevalec vin.

Curriculum vitae: Born in 1972. He graduated from BF-UL in 1999 with a degree in Agricultural Science and in 2001 with a degree in Food Technology. He received his PhD in 2005 for the study of Biotechnology. 2000-2005 he worked as an assistant at BF-UL. Since 2006 he has been a researcher at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia. In 2012 he was the head of the Central Laboratory and since 2013 the head of the Department of Fruit Growing, Viticulture and Oenology. Pedagogical work: 2000-2005 assistant BF-UL, 2006-2011 assistant professor at VŠV-UNG; 2007-2015 assistant professor and associate professor at FVZ-UP. Research work: the influence of PPPs on the yeast population during alcoholic fermentation; PPP residues on grapes and wine; the influence of the naturally occurring microbiome on the quality of wine. Bibliography: the COBISS report includes 213 units, of which 24 original scientific articles, 3 invited lectures and several edits of scientific monographs. He has served on the editorial boards of two scientific journals. He was mentor or co-mentor of 3 PhD students, 2 master students and 4 graduate students. In addition: head of the public service for viticulture at KIS-MAFF, president of the viticulture council at MAFF, expert responsible for the database of isotope ratios for Slovenian wines, member of expert commissions at OIV, president of the Professional Association of Winegrowers and Viticulturists of Slovenia (2006-2010), president of the Programme Organising Committee of many scientific conferences, expert in wine sensory.
